Personal Statement

The first thing you will notice about me is that I am not one to sit back and watch others, if there is a way that I can interact. I am not one to point out mistakes but I am one to help you so you don't make the same mistake over again. I am not very soft spoken I like to be loud and make drills and skill learning fun. I like participating in sports so it gives me a reason to work hard in school. Sports are a big part of my life and I enjoy competing in football and track. Every team needs a leader and some one that they can trust and rely on at anytime, I am that type of person. I like to teach and interact with kids and if I am not studying classes of film I am finding some way to help or teach someone something new. I am open to any options as long as I am able to be a positive role model in everyone's eyes. I am 5'10 240lb solid lineman, I run a 5.1 in the 40, 4.89 in the shuttle, bench press 185 11 times, vert of 21 and a board jump of 6'0. I am one of the biggest, most coordinated players on the field. When a player needs a sub I am the one that coach goes to replace that player. I know every position from tackle to tackle on both sides of the ball. I am one of the most versatile players on the team. One of my most important accomplishments are when I was in 4th grade I played 5th and 6th grade ball and took the 6th graders starting positions. Another one of my accomplishments that are very important to me is I was diagnosed with meningitis and a week after I got out of the hospital I was out on the field practicing like nothing was wrong. The most recent accomplishments that I over came was this past season I got blind sided. I was in a neck brace and the next week in the press box supporting my team. The team means more to me then my own health I put my family before myself. The biggest qualities of mine that I could bring to you team is that I will go hard and I will push others to the breaking point to make them and myself the best the field. I never settle for anything less then best. If there is a way to better myself and my team I will not stop until I am satisfied with my results. I am not one to take the easy way out. If there is a harder way to do something that will challenges me physically and emotionally that is the way I will go. I have always gone by my coaches quote "if it is to be. It is up to me." Every team needs someone that will push their self and others the extra mile, go 110% every rep, bring life to the team, help your teammate up after knocking them down, put others up not down and be a respected role model for the team. I like to give time to the community and always lend a helping hand to others. If those are some of the qualities you are looking for in a player then I am what you are looking for. I would like to attend a school that is not to far out side of a city and not to far from home. I would like to be in close contact with my family and be able to come home and see my family and friends. If I could I would like to stay in Michigan but the surrounding states are fine. I would also like to be near a city so that way if I had any spare time away from school work I could do mentoring at a local school or learning group. I am very interested in a medium school, one that is not too big but has a warming welcome to all students interested in learning. I would like to play at the highest level of competition like D1, D2 or D3 schools. Also have a medium to high expectation for academics. I am going to need help with finical aid. I am going to be applying for as many scholarships as I can. I will work my hardest to earn all the grants and scholarships. I would like to attend a collage that specializes in special education at all levels. I would like to pursue this career because I would like to show the world that just because you are classified special education does not mean you are any less of a person than anybody else. I would like to go to a collage that will help me achieve my goal for becoming a Special Education/autistic teacher. As an athlete I would like to make not only myself but my coaches and parents happy by playing at the highest level of competition. Going on to play at the next level of athletics would mean so much to me at any level. By playing at any level of collage would be showing my coaches and my parents that they created not only a athlete but a person with great character and someone who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. I would make a big impact on any team that I went on, because I would bring heart, good work ethics, and willingness to learn and help others.
