My name is Mason McGuire and I just started my sophomore year at Brighton High School in Brighton, MI. This past year (2017-2018) I competed on the Freshman Football and JV Baseball teams, and currently am a starter on the JV Football team. Our football program is in one of the most competitive conferences in the state. I have played football for the past 5 years. Both my parents were collegiate athletes my mom played soccer and my dad played football, so being athletic and competitive is in my blood. I have worked hard and earned a starting position in every football game I’ve ever played in. I have played multiple positions from corner back, safety, special teams, wide receiver and a read option QB. I love wide receiver and safety, but if I can be on the field helping my team I will play any position that is asked of me.
I love to have fun and stay loose, but know how to turn it on when it's time to grind. I train at my house with my dad and little brother, go to the weight room and watch my diet. I would love to play football at the next level and know it is not an easy task to get there. I am not limiting myself to a particular type of college/university. I want a team that has strong coaches who not only emphasize football but also team, family, morals and education. I am not at all scared about the idea of moving out of state.
On my off time I love to fish, kayak, snowboard, play with my dog and travel with my family. I hope to get scuba certified this year and start diving more.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and get to know me a little. I hope your season went well and continues to grow in the years to come.
