William Russell IV '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0" Strong Safety from Eastpointe, MI and I'm on the National Honor Society. This past year was my first year on the varsity level at East Detroit High School. I had to earn my spot because I got injured in the pre-season and didn't play in the first three games. I had to earn my way through the depth charts and started over some seniors, so I truly believe in the saying hard work pays off. I have a 4.1 GPA and a 21 ACT score but I'm retaking it in June. I am looking for a university where I can succeed off the field as well as on the field. The University has to have a great academic reputation. My plan B if football doesn't work out I would like to become a lawyer so initially the university has to have law or pre-law major. As for football I would like to be able to make impact on the team as well as an impact player in the future. I would like to play at the DI level even if I get an athletic scholarship then walk-on, although I will take in consideration playing for and attending DII or DIII universities.
