Personal Statement
I was born and molded around the thought of football. Growing up in a house with a 2-Time Rose Bowl winner places great expectations on me as a student athlete. I started football at a young age and fell in love with the game. I've grown as a quarterback through my years of hard work and experience. I think i've learned more through my failures than my success. I've learned to adapt to my surroundings. I went from Freshman football to Junior Varsity football in the same year and dominated throughout it. Over the next year I was moved up to Varsity football and started as a Sophomore with big expectations. I dominated at the Varsity level, and I will continue to do so the next two years of it. My confidence level is high and my ability to adapt is rare. My field vision and pocket presence defines my game, but if there is any pressure I have no fear to scramble out or take off with the ball. I bring a different level of game to the team I play. Most important of it all is the education. I am a STUDENT athlete. Freshman year I took for granted and didn't see the opportunities I had as a student. I ended the year with a 3.1 GPA and that disappointed me. I promised and committed myself to focus on school before anything else. As a Sophomore, after the first semester grades, I obtained a 3.37 GPA. It's not the best but i'm slowly working to increase it. I work hard in the class and on the field, and I fully commit myself to both.
