I first held a football when I was six years old, and ever since then I could not get enough of it. My first year playing tackle football was 9 years old. I first played offense, but there was not enough hitting for me, so I switched to defense, sorry “offensive players.” From the first day I played football my goal has been to support my teammates. I know that playing college football will make me a better player, person, and help me to get ready for life after football.
Every day I continue to improve my technique. This is done through agility and footwork training on the field. In addition, I hit the weight room every day to make every part of my body stronger. Since my first year playing football and each year in high school I have been a captain. This is because I am a vocal leader as well as one who leads by example. These are just a few of the many reasons of why I believe I am a good leader. Another reason is because I am a very coachable player because I know there is always something I can improve on. I strive to be one of the hardest working players in the state and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find.
School is very important to me as it comes before sports because if you do not have good grades you will not be playing college football. Having a good education allows one to prepare for life after football.
The college that best fits me is one that challenges me in the classroom as well as on the field. I am open to all colleges that make me a better football player as well as a man. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and the youth in my hometown community.
