In pursuit of continuing my education, I find it imperative that my journey should begin at your college. Being that I’ve played football since the age of five, the thought of pursuing a career in the medical field was a no-brainer. While taking Health Occupation my junior year of High School and playing sports, I began to realize the importance of health education. The class not only taught me the different opportunities offered in the medical field but also how to take advantage of each opportunity you get. The decision became even clearer when I broke my foot playing the sport I love the most-football. This inconvenience was hard to accept but through the operation and healing process I eventually found it easy to cope with.
Not only could your provide me with the opportunity to pursue a career in physical therapy, it will also allow me to compete at a collegiate level. Having these two avenues; Physical therapy and college football, would make me a greater asset to the campus. I’ll not only be excelling in my classes but also on the football field. During my high school years, I have been on the honor roll for 3.0 or higher and I’ve also completed several volunteer ventures. They consisted of volunteering at the special Olympics and feeding the homeless at my family church, this gave me a sense of how to give up my time without receiving anything in return.
I will also have to enumerate what I’ve already learned from playing football which is having confidence, playing to the best of my ability and having good sportsmanship. I have strong sense of purpose in life and I’m eager to enhance it. After going through my pofile, I hope you consider me to attend your program.
