“It’s a constant quest to try to be better today than you were yesterday and better tomorrow than you were the day before.” – Kobe Bryant
Football has always been an important part of my life since I was 6 years old. I started taking it serious after winning the peanut bowl in my youth football league. After sharing my aspirations with my parents, they supported me- by putting me in performance training and position skills training. I gained a lot of knowledge and skills from training which has allowed me to perform better on the field. I take both very seriously and that’s why I have the Kobe Bryant quote on a poster in my room to push me to better today than I was yesterday.
I would like to play football at the collegiate level. I believe I have the skills that would make me an ideal candidate for any football team. I have an strong work ethnic, speed and elusiveness, defensive back skills, and an high football IQ. I am willing to work on areas I am lacking in as well as improve in areas I am good in. I am a team player and positive force on and off the field. I am coachable and have helped my coaches with practice and showing other players proper techniques.
I am always trying to improve my skills and learn new skills in the off-season. I attend football training camps and i also have an defensive back coach and athletic trainer that I've been working with for years. I also run track during the off-season, I believe all these have made me a better athlete.
My education is also very important to me. I have maintained an high GPA and have made honor roll numerous of times. I've been taking advance classes since middle school. I would like to attend a college where I am able to utilize my skills on the field and in the classroom. Also, continue to be better than I was yesterday and better tomorrow than I was the day before.
