Carter Thelen '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a man that is dedicated to my faith, family, friends, and football. I have been around football my whole life and love the game. I do my best to compete against others in the classroom and on the field. I love the game of football even throughout elementary school I would play football at recess.  By me playing the game of football I find there is a different person inside me when I step out onto the field. I find myself pushing my teammates in the weight room,  on the field, and in the classroom.  When I play football my team becomes a family that I control, I can push them, motivate them, and have their backs when the time is needed. I feel like I grew as a team leader and stuck out from the rest of my team when we lost in regionals my Junior season. I understand now that I can help by improving not just me but my teammates which leads to why I am capable of playing college football.  The one big academic goal I have been striving to do is to be better than before. I want to get better every semester. The college goal is the same I want to get better every semester and have a bachelor's degree in 4 years. I have 5 special characteristics: bring a smile to every practice,  be friends with everyone, have a positive attitude, strong leader on the field, try my hardest every day in the classroom.
