Dane Petersen '23 Recruiting Profile

Let's start with football is the best sport in the world. I became interested in the sport when I was 10 years old.  That is when I started to play tackle football and found my passion! I like the bonding and brotherhood that forms from being part of a team.  I carry that brotherhood into my other teams as well.  I wrestle and also participate in field events and running in track.  It was my first year at high school football and we had a rough year.  However, I learned a lot about the game, being a teammate,  being a leader and a good role model.  What I learned about myself from playing football is that I am a leader.  I always encouraged my teammates to keep their heads up and to find a positive aspect from every game.  Football may be the best sport in the world but academics come first. I always strive for straight A's. To sum it up, I am confident I would have an immediate impact on your program because of my leadership, work ethic, dedication and talent.  My goal is to find the perfect partnership between myself and a school  that fits both academically and with a sports program that can utilize my skills.
