My name is Jerrod Jones and I’m going into my junior year at simley high school. My dream is to play in the NFL and this is a big step to helping me accomplish my goal. I’ve been on varsity team for Simley High School since freshman year, my head coach Chris Mensen could tell you that on the field, off the field, and in the classroom I apply myself with determination and focus. I participate in different sports such as; wrestling, track and 7v7 during the offseason. I also try to attend as many football camps as I can. I’ve been on the varsity track team since my 8th grade year and I’m a short sprinter. Everyday I’m in the gym and after that you will find me on the field putting in work. My height can be viewed as a weakness to some recruiters, they believe I am “undersized” but I don’t let that get to me, I have a strong football IQ and I focus on my speed, and how to improve it because I can’t control my height. I have a 11.8 100 time and a 21.40 for a 200 time. I take time to assess my mistakes and find a way to get better. I’m a great team player and a very passionate player on the field. I understand the importance of the classroom because I am a student athlete. I am a critical thinker, I am a good listener and I understand that success takes sacrific, so I set my goals and apply myself to be better everyday. That’s why I believe I’m a great athlete to look into. Thank you for your consideration
