Drew Uttech had a solid day at The Rubio Long Snapping camp in Chicago on December 15, 2024. Drew is a very coachable long snapper with a fantastic attitude. His starting form is very good and he does a good job getting his hands and eyes back to the punter. Hands are consistent and release at the same place very consistently. His spiral is very consistent and he does a great job being gentle with his hands, making sure not to overgrip. Lower body is very impressive and how much extension he is able to get with his lower body. Really impressive day from Drew and I expect the same at VEGAS XLV on January 17–19.

Uttech has shown at multiple Kohl’s Snapping Camps that he has the ability to put a ball on target each time. He finished the charting phase of the 2024 Kohl’s Midwest Winter Showcase by scoring on 10 of his 12 long snaps with an average snap time of .78 seconds. Not only does he have great accuracy but he also has tight ball rotation on each one of his snaps. Developing himself physically and firing his hands throughout his snapping motion will lower his snap times.
