Personal Statement
My name is LaQuanta Crawford and my dream is to be accepted into a program that will present me with opportunities to get better academically, athletically and mentally. I understand football is a tough career choice which is why I would like to attend a school with not only a solid football program but a strong business program as well. My family owns and operates a business and I would really like to learn how to manage a business because one day I may have to takeover the family business.
Giving me the chance to be apart of your program will allow me to show you that I work hard on and off the field, I am extremely coachable and I was taught to respect my coaches and teammates. At times I may be too hard on myself and I get extremely upset with making mistakes but my only goal is to succeed because my dad always teaches me that failure is not an option. I feel like that is what makes me different from a lot of different players because I refuse to give up no matter how hard something may seem.
My G.P.A. is currently a 2.95 and I am in the A plus program in my school in order to stay in that program I have to maintain a higher GPA then those who are not in that program and that makes me work harder than others academically. Due to a ACL and meniscus tear that occurred my sophomore season vs Oak Park high School I missed almost a year of training/football. My Junior season playing time was limited due to me being in recovery and I had to wear a knee brace the entire season to protect my ACL but, I still managed to get 2 interceptions and several tackles off the bench. Going into my Senior year my work ethic has been crazy I participated in 2 camps and put up some pretty good combine numbers, I was ranked #3 in the Ryzer camp for vertical, I jumped 39.3.
All I can ask is for an opportunity to further my career in football mainly because I LOVE Playing football. Talk to you soon.
