Witnessing Hazelwood central battling for a state championship in 2010 was when I became serious about football. The Summer of 2014, I began an intense training for the team. But having a tunnel vision in the weight room wasn't the only thing I learned from the coaches. Watching film and studying plays became a crucial routine that blended in with my homework. If I wanted to pursue a future in mechanical engineering, I realized that I can do it through something I loved. With school never being a problem, the only obstacles I faced were injuries. Missing out on half of my freshman year due to a concussion and majority of my junior year because of a high ankle sprain, I made sure that I played everyday like it was my last this year. When there is a leadership position available, I don't hesitate to grasp it. Even if that position is filled, I'll continue to work on becoming a better person and improving the team.
