Personal Statement
My name is Mason Kliethermes and I am currently a Senior at Scotland County in Memphis, Missouri. I am an inside and outside linebacker and a left guard that has started all of the varsity games for my high school. My family and I love football with all our hearts and I would love to play football at the college level.
My #1 strength as a player is that I will go above and beyond to win. Whether it is working hard in the summer to prepare for the next season or giving 110% in the weight room, in every summer camp or 7 on 7 scrimmage, in every single practice and every single game. As a freshman I was the third leader in tackles with 65 tackles. At the end of the season we had an award banquet where I obtained the Newcomer of the Year Award. Since then I have earned multiple end of the year awards for Linebacker including all-district and Kirksville Daily Express team.
What I want to achieve when I am in college is to graduate with an Actuarial Science degree. I have a 4.2 GPA and I am first in my class. I love math and I think that would be a wonderful job for me once I graduate from college.
One of the things that I have been told since I started playing football in 5th grade was that I am coachable. I am willing to play any position, offense or defense as long as I can keep playing football.
