For my personal collegiate goals, I would like to go farther in my studies than any of my family members. I would also like to leave college with a degree in Architecture engineering. My aspirations are to land a good job to make sure my family doesn't have struggle anymore. They have struggled more than I could ever have asked for just to get me where I am at Right now in my life. With raising 4 kids and having two jobs they are the best parents I could have ever asked for. The best reason I can say for why I am a good candidate for my team is my desire and always chasing to achieve what I was told growing up would be impossible. That would also carry over to helping others when they are down, helping underclassmen feel like they are truly a part of the program and not just another person that happened to be there, which is how I felt as I was coming up. What makes me different is how I never give up no matter the circumstances. As a Freshman the first official week of practice I broke my ankle. We were told it was just a sprain and I was "Babying It". So I participated in everything with the team with a limp. Later about 6 months I had surgery, but at that time my cartilage was dying in my ankle as time was going. Had surgery and couldn't even think about running for 5-6 months with physical therapy. The day I was cleared I was on the field with my team just doing drills with them and wanting to be apart of the team. I was not able to play that season because I did not want to rush into anything, but I was getting stronger and faster every day. What makes me different is not everybody had to deal with an injury where they were told they couldn't play high school sports. That built my character from ground up.
