Patrick Beckner '17 Recruiting Profile

My first true year of competitive, organized football was my freshman year at Bishop Gorman. My freshman year was rough but I think the most important thing I learned that year was that nobody was going to hand it to me. I had to put in the hard work and effort. Immediately after the freshman season was over, I dedicated extra time after schoolwork was finished to train hard and spent time in the weight room almost every day getting stronger physically and mentally. I put on 55 pounds by the start of my sophomore year and with extra work on technique I was ready. I love football. I love being part of a team. I think my best football is yet to come. I tackle academics the same way. Playing football at the next level and getting a good education are my goals and I will work very hard to achieve them.
