Dion Gilbert '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Dion Gilbert. I have many goals that I would love to achieve. My top priority is to attend a four-year university and graduate at the top of my class. In addition, I am striving to be included in the top 50 college football players. While attending college I would like to major in marine biology or sports science. I’ve played football almost my whole life and I love the game. My dream is to be drafted into the NFL. High school was very hard for me at first, but my mom always pushed me to go above and beyond. She said that hard work pays off so I got a tutor. She also said that if I surround myself around great people then I would be great as well. So I started to focus on school and football. I consider myself to be a nose to the grindstone and work hard type of person. I believe that my character shaped by the way that I was raised makes me stand out. I never argue with an adult /coach because I love to learn and to improve myself as an athlete and a person. I am also a very encouraging and helpful teammate/friend.
