My football journey started when I was nine years old. Football has given me the opportunity to reach my full potential and become the best version of myself and I have been working hard to maximize this once in a lifetime opportunity. I can confidently say football has been the biggest blessing in my life. Football has provided me with a sense of family, brought out my natural leadership skills, taught me the importance of work ethic, and shown me what hard work and dedication can do.
I start as center for Bishop Manogue's varsity football team. Starting as a sophomore in the center position allowed me to show my leadership skills, knowledge of the game, ball handling skills, and my ability to react quickly while under pressure. My team went on to win the Northern 5A Regional football championship and earned us a spot in the state championship game against Bishop Gorman. I was awarded with honorable mention as a center by the Northern Nevada Football Coaches Association.
One of my best assets as a player is my ability to use my knowledge of the game to read plays and lead my team. I am very passionate when it comes to studying the game and I learn more at every practice. I view my team as my family and I do everything in my power to lead, help, and protect them in both practices and games.
I take my academics very seriously in addition to football. I believe my high school course load has taught me the importance and art of balancing academics and athletics. In college I want to study Sports Medicine and Kinesiology. I aspire to one day be capable of helping athletes maintain their health and prevent injury. I have a great amount of passion to achieve this and that passion comes from my personal experience with sports. With football being as big of a blessing as it is, I could not imagine it being taken away from me due to an injury or health complications and there is no other career that could possibly be more rewarding to me than to help individuals who have the same passion for their sport as I do.
My dream is to attend a college where I can perform to my full potential in the classroom and on the field where I can seek support to grow and thrive as a student and athlete. I look forward to finding the right school, coach, and team to help me continue my football journey.
