I am a 6'0” 205lb. inside linebacker / running back from the 2019 class of Damonte Ranch High School in Reno, NV. I began playing football & wrestling when I was 5 years old. I am a very well rounded and disciplined student-athlete. Sports have always come natural to me, and are a huge part of my life. I have been putting in the work not only during the regular season but also in the off season to help reach my goal of playing at the next level. My family is very important to me, and very supportive of my goals and dreams that I have set for myself.
Half way through my 8th grade year, my family relocated from Anchorage, Alaska to Reno, Nevada. I know this move has taught me quite a bit about myself and what it takes to be flexible, resilient, and to trust in my parents and coaches. I moved from a town where everyone knew me, and knew that I had grown into a strong hardworking athlete to a place where I was a nobody. My freshmen year I had to earn my place on our team and show everyone who I was as a player. Not only did I quickly earn my coaches and teammates respect but my freshmen season I started on both sides of the ball, special teams, was a team captain, and led our team in scoring & tackles. I earned team MVP and we finished 6-2 for the year.
As a sophomore I was the starting inside linebacker on our varsity team and backup running back. I ended the season with 144 total tackles. My sophomore season was a truly amazing experience. I learned so much working with great coaches, and the many talented upperclassmen on our team. I learned the importance of “a team family” and the value of dedication, & sacrifice. If I do not give 110% every day in the classroom & on the field not only do I feel the impact, but so does my team. For the 2016 season our team claimed the Sierra League Championship & Northern 4A Regional Championship for the 1st time in our schools 12-year history. I am so proud to be a vital part of this team and a part of our schools history.
As a Junior I am our teams starting running back and inside linebacker. On the second week of our season I was voted the All-USA Northern Nevada player of the week. After the 3rd week of the season I have 362 yards rushing on 36 carries.
I know I not only have the talent and drive to compete at the college level but also the passion, character, & coach-ability to make me stand out & succeed in your program. I am looking for a program that is a good fit for me to excel both academically and athletically.
