My name is Carson Ogden, I’m 15 years old and my goal is to be a successful/good football player, student and person. I started playing soccer at the age of 6 but begged my mom to play football since I was 10, as she would not allow me due to how “dangerous” it was. Finally, at age 13, my mom gave in and let me play football.
During my freshman year, I played both sides of the ball, played on special teams, only JV player to play a varsity game and more importantly, only JV player to be selected for Athletic Leadership Committee.
During my football journey, I realized it takes hard work on and off the field and that I was a leader. I would speak up/stand up for teammates that couldn’t do it themselves, I advocated for myself on and off the field and I am not afraid to make a mistake because I learned from them. What makes me stand out from other recruits is that I can take constructive feedback. No one is perfect, and we all can improve on something. I make a point to always know what that is by following up with my coaches as well as teachers to improve my grades if needed. Overall, I just want to do what I love, stay the person I am and get good grades.
