Sean Willis '10 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a 6' 1" 170lbs senior with a 4.5,40 time, and I carry a GPA of 3.9+. My team headed into the State play-offs ranked #1 in 4-A and #4 among all teams in the state. We were defeated in the last 29 seconds in the State Championship game 21-28. I am ranked #1 in the state for most tackles, with a new state record of 194 for the season, and am currently ranked #2 in the nation for tackles by a linebacker and #16 in the nation for total tackles. I have been selected as New Mexico District 6-4A MVP Honorable Mention, 1st Team All-District, and District Defensive MVP, New Mexico Sports Authority 2009 All-Academic Team, and 2009 State Farm All-Metro Football Team (Albuquerque Metro Area). I was also chosen MaxPreps.com National Player of the Week earlier in the season. I have played the game of football since I was in the third grade and have started Varsity since my sophomore year; because I am the type of person who knows how to make plays. My sophomore year I led my team in tackles until the last two games of the season. I have always been either captain or co-captain of my team because I can rally the troops and have earned their respect. My biggest dream has been to play college football ever since I first stepped foot on the field as a child and I believe I have put in the time and hard work to do so. From watching extra film to pulling railroad ties and lifting weights, I have done such things to make myself better. I consider myself an extremely hard worker and never quit both on and off the field. I would like to play for a college that will give me an opportunity to prove myself to them and that can provide the necessary financial aid to go there to play. I desire to be the best player on the field and in life and anything short of that is not good enough for me. I believe every coach deserves the best and I intend to give that. I am willing to put in the work to be a starter because I know that success comes disguised as hard work.
