Niranjan Shivashankar '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'8" 150 lb defensive back/wide receiver and strong safety from V. Sue Cleveland High School, in Rio Rancho, NM. I continue to strive for success on and off the field by maintaining my 4.03 GPA  and by working on my craft everyday. I am interested in playing D1/2/3 football anywhere in the United States where a coach will allow me to utilize my talents and leadership. I always seek to encourage players and maintain a positive outlook, even when things get tough, to ensure we all become better athletes and individuals. I am also a multi-sport athlete playing basketball, tennis, track & field, and golf.

I am interested in becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon with a specialty in Sports Medicine to help not only the general public but also all types of athletes. When first joining any team, I first work on understanding and bonding with my coaches and teammates. I know that from them I will get the support and guidance to become a better athlete and person. What makes me stand out from other players is my strong work ethic and my continuous communication on and off the field. I continually participate in clubs at my school and compete at Science Olympiads.

I believe that having a strong work ethic corresponds to every part of my life, including academics and athletics. I always seek to get better in every aspect of my life and push myself outside of my comfort zone everyday to grow as an individual.
