Personal Statement

I am a senior at Akron High School where I primarily play Inside Linebacker on the varsity football team.  I am a multisport athlete, playing varsity basketball and baseball as well, but my greatest passion is for football.  From the first time I stepped onto the field, I fell in love with the sport and competing to win.   As a student-athlete, I am as dedicated in the classroom as I am on the field.  In my first three years of high school, I have maintained a 99.39% unweighted GPA while taking many honors/advanced classes that my school offered, and rank #2 in my class.  Being a three-sport athlete, I have become more responsible for myself and have learned effective time management.  I have a relentless work ethic, and I am committed to trying to better myself every day.  During the summer, I go to weight room workouts consistently at 6:30 AM, working to get stronger and more explosive.  I have gained a great amount of knowledge about the game and life from my coaches, teammates, and personal experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today.  As I move forward to the collegiate level, I intend to use these attributes to excel as a player and to help my team be successful.  I am looking to make an impact on a program that has high standards both athletically and academically.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
