Alexander Poindexter '18 Recruiting Profile

I am graduating from Christian Brother's Academy in June 2018 and looking to obtain a business degree in college. I have held my GPA at 93.2 during my Senior year while taking a challenging course schedule my Senior year filled with AP classes. I have volunteered a lot of time while at CBA including a Children's Cancer Camp in Maine I spent a week at during the Summer. It was a valuable and humbling experience. My Senior football season was interesting as our team was riddled with injuries. I started the year playing starting WR and safety.  Due to injuries I was moved to linebacker and QB.  I can play multiple positions. Due to being moved to QB I was pulled from my safety position to avoid injury because we were so thin at every position. I averaged double digit tackles while I played defense including a game high 21 tackles vs. Elmira and you can see from my first half season highlights I played aggressively. The coaches at CBA did an amazing job teaching us to read offenses and align our defense. I [played the entire Senior season with a torn labrum and an impinged rotator cuff in my throwing arm. I played with a broken hand in my Junior season. I am not afraid to play with pain. I look forward to college and competing at the next level.
