Andrew Cooney '24 Recruiting Profile

I succeed because I never give up.  I never give up because I have purpose.  My "why" is greater than the long hours and exhaustion required to succeed.  I have Drive, Determination and a Dream to be part of an incredible football team and have the best undergraduate experience to prepare me for medical school.  I have worked hard to show that I have the highly sought after qualities that have led me to success in football and life thus far.  I am one of the co-captains of the defense of my State Championship Football Team. The reasons below are the reasons I am confident I will enhance the college football team I play for. 

Team Leader.  One of my strengths is strong communication skills.  This has helped me convey the defensive plays to the players on the field to ensure they are in the correct position for successful plays to get the win.  

Dedication/Driven to Succeed.  I believed in working hard to achieve your goals. During my time at CBA, I have been a part of a team that has won 2 state championships. This is one example where I have learned that hard work and perseverance pay off.

My goal is to contribute to my team, form strong bonds, and ultimately help a program better itself and win at all levels. I understand that the right coaching and mentorship on and off the field are key to success.  I look forward to finding a college and football team that align with my values, work ethics, and goals.
