Personal Statement

Hi, My name is Michael LaRusso, I am a sophomore at Albertus Magnus Highschool in Bardonia NY. We just finished our season, I started at CB and WR/RB I am primarily interested in playing RB/WR in college. I played 3 games this year and scored 4 TD’s and had a game with 140 yards on 10 carries. I am a honor role student at Albertus Magnus, My gpa is a 91 and I am a very hardworking, dedicated and one of the leaders on my team and great respectful student. I just recently had to have shoulder surgery on my AC joint, thankfully the surgery went great and I am expected to have a full recovery and will be back in the summer. I believe I could be a good candidate for your team because I am a leader, and I am always trying to push my teammates to get better. When I was out with my shoulder injury I was at every practice helping out my backup and the younger kids on scout team. Last year our team went 0-7  and we had to have a culture change, me and a couple of other teammates led the way and set an example. We pushed the kids to come to summer workouts and train all summer with us, I didn't miss one summer workout session, and because of our hardwork we went from 0-7 and last place to 4-2 and a league championship appearance.
