More Senior 2014 ...
2013 HighlightsI have to believe that moving forward is the key to achieving success. I have played football for as far back as I can remember. I have had an awesome time doing so. As I came into my Senior year, I was honored as one of the Captains. I was very excited, very focused and prepared to play ball! We were seeded number one, and proving to deserve it. Early in our season we lost "A Brother", in a tragedy on the field. He was not on our team but a member of our proud Long Island football family. It was devastating, and an eye opener. Many questioned our sport and the dangers involved. I for one, understand how much he loved what he died doing. Although I never met him. I will never forget his love for the sport. Our families moved on, maybe more cautious, but still as diehard as ever. Playoffs came, and just like that, my high school career, last game with my brother, last game as T Bird #34, came to an end. It felt like a death, a hard to explain feeling of emptiness, an experience I was not prepared for. Looking back, there is nothing I would have changed. We trained hard, played hard, and had fun. We are all still here and can celebrate moving on and graduating. I am so proud of my team, our T Bird family is so proud, so I say, "No regrets"! I am a focused, dedicated, student athlete, that will be successful. I am moving forward, excited to start my college years with a new football family. I am hoping to find one that will benefit from all the hard work dedication and spirit I bring forward with me as a Graduating Thunderbird.
