It occurred to me before I was about to start high school that to achieve my goals both academically and athletically, I needed to push myself to a higher level. Because of this, I made the decision to leave the current public school I was in and enroll in a private school noted for its excellence in bringing students to their full potential. My total commute is now over two hours, and added to my sports schedule, my days can last 12 hours or more. It hasn’t been easy, but it has taught me how much I am capable of accomplishing. The academic courses are rigorous and playing two sports consumes the majority of my time, but I know this will be well worth it as I pursue my goals in life.
As a quarterback and three-time captain, I understand the value of intelligence and leadership on the field. I hope to continue playing sports as long as possible and playing at a college level has always been a major objective of mine. I also see sports as an avenue to pursue my other goals in life. I have long been fascinated with computers and have wanted to eventually pursue a career in computer science. My ultimate target is to attend a university where I can maximize my abilities and contribute to the school in both an athletic and academic way.
