Personal Statement
Coaches, my goal is to be successful both academically as well as on the football field. I hope to be an immediate contributor and earn a spot where I can best help my team be successful. Throughout my high school career I have been voted captain of both my football and lacrosse teams in multiple seasons. I am a hard-working athlete who is in the weight room and skills sessions 5 to 6 days a week in the off season. I am dedicated to making myself better and becoming the best player I can be.
I truly believe that the best measure of character is what you do when you know that no one is watching. I take great pride in knowing that I have done right by others. I hope this is the reason I have been voted captain of my athletic teams by my coaches and teammates. In my 2017 senior football season I was named captain of my football team again and starting QB.
I threw for over 1750 yards and 15 touchdowns. I also ran for 6 touchdowns (21 total tds). I was named starting QB for the south in the exceptional senior game (2tds) as well as being named first team all empire division QB and second team Times Union all-star.
My current GPA is a 3.7. In addition, I'm currently taking AP Spanish, AP forensics and AP entrepreneurship classes. On top of balancing my athletic and academic careers, I work two jobs. In the summer, I work with children as a counselor at Tawasentha summer camp. I also will be working for the YMCA after the first of the year.
Participating in all these activities has taught me great time management skills and has benefited me in a multitude of ways. Thank you for your time and consideration.
