Dylan Braun '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'11 DT and can also play OG from Hauppauge, NY.  I was voted Captain by my teammates this year, my varsity year. I have played football since I have been 5 years old, playing for town and PAL leagues, as well as travel with the L.I. Spartans.  In middle school I played for Hauppauge Youth Organization, as well as my school Hauppauge Middle School. Moving on to high school I started on the Hauppauge High School varsity team since I was in 10th grade and will be playing my last year as a senior for Hauppauge in 2022.  While playing with the team in 10th grade we made the Big 4 Championship.  I believe that I am an asset to my team because I can read a play and go to where I need to be to stop the other team from completing that play. I am a true team player and encourage all my teammates to do better and want to be better. I am there to challenge them and create an environment where they feel the energy on the field and build them up to be a better team. 

I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding football program and work out facility. I believe my best fit would be at the DIII level. I am looking for a school in the Northeast region, small to medium size and one in which would be academically a good fit as well. I currently have  an interest in becoming a Social Studies Teacher, but also in Sports Marketing as well.
