John Martisch '15 Recruiting Profile

Hardworking and humble are two words that come to mind when describing myself. I'm the kid who is in the weight room and in the classroom when others are not. I think anyone who knows me would testify to my unbelievable work ethic and incredible will to win. Being successful isn't something that is given, it is something that is earned. I know that every hour and every late night spent studying and training will eventually pay off. 

Standing at 6'1 weighing 220 pounds I am looking for nothing more than an opportunity to take my talent and my brain and put it to use. I aspire to obtain a high level education playing the sport I love. My studies are most important to me in the recruiting process as I plan to major in Pre-Med come the fall of 2016. Academics yield opportunity, and that is something I take to heart when finding the right school. I'm also a very accomplished wrestler and baseball player, I think being a multi-sport athlete has shaped me into a very hard-nosed physical linebacker. I work extremely hard and I think that's something every scout needs to know about me. My goals athletically would be to be given an opportunity to compete for a spot, and work as hard as I can in order to achieve that spot. My character and attitude is a positive influence to those around me, and I believe a winning team is one big family. I think I can be a major attribute to anyones program, I will be attending a prep school in new england for a PG year in 2015 and can only wait to see what my future brings.
