Matthew Sweeney '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello My name is Matthew Sweeney and I wanna play football as far as possible, I hope one day to be an all american player and I know I have the talent to do so. I recently transfer to St.Peter's boys High School but since I transfer I had to sit out my freshman season and this made me just practice and work on the weak parts of my game, It also taught me not to take this game that I love so much for granted. I think I can be a good candidate for any team because I think I bring Leadership and I'm a hard worker, but my favorite trait is my teamwork which is most important. When I strive to get better I don't want to get better by myself but I want to get better with the whole team around me. What makes me different Is my academics. I feel like my academics which I currently have a 4.0 GPA in my first semester, translates to my game because my football IQ is very high compared to others and I am very versatile and I am currently playing 3 positions on offense wherever I'm needed between RB, WR, and, TE. and on defense I only play linebacker.
