Michael Hicks '19 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to choose the college that would fit my personality and aspirations . I want to work hard and have fun studying for my career . It's not about how good the college is even though I aim high for a state college it's about it I'll fit in there and would be the college that's right for me. I play football and basketball . I'd like to study civil engineering or education. My dad is a land surveyor so I go and work with him and get a feel for what civil engineering is. Being honest with myself I know football is what I'm best at but I want to see how my junior year goes and then choose what will be the best path for me . I'm the type of person who never gives up , have heart , always ready to compete , and ready to work. Right now I have a 86 AVG (Honor Roll Student) and I'm looking to improve it . What makes me different from other athletes is what I do off the field . I like fashion, love helping the youth, play the piano,  and make music. I would say I'm unique. People would look at me and think I'm not a student athlete and wouldn't think I'm skilled , so it's funny when they find out that I can perform at a high level .
