Erik Mikesh '23 Recruiting Profile

I have a very strong desire to play collegiate level football. I have been playing football since I was 6 years old and I have always been very passionate about the game. I simply cannot imagine hanging up my helmet after my senior season of high school football and never touching the field again. I need to pursue this! I will be a 3 year varsity starter in high school and have missed only a few snaps in my career. This past year I was the only Junior elected Team Captain. I feel as though I am a leader on and off the field. I took it upon myself to organize offseason workouts for my position group. My primary position has been Right Offensive Tackle and I also started at Defensive End as well. My high school team exclusively runs a spread offense, not utilizing a Tight End but, based on my size, I believe my skills may better project at Tight End on the collegiate level. I have held myself to a high standard in the classroom as well, earning a spot on the High Honor Roll every marking period throughout my years of high school. My leadership, intelligence, and high character provide me with the intangibles to succeed at the next level.
