Jalyn Epps '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a Junior Runningback/Wide Receiver at Apex Friendship High School in Apex, North Carolina. I have been playing football since the tender age of seven years old. Since then, I have been an active player, playing high school football, playing for different 7 on 7 teams and competing in many tournaments. My sophomore year, I secured a starting position as Wide Receiver at my previous school. My versatility as a player has also allowed me to play other positions such as Running Back, Safety, Line Backer and Punt Returner.

I come from a background of great faith and influence. My mother has been the backbone and most influential in my life. Her guidance has taught me the importance of creating my own opportunities. Most of all, she has encouraged me to believe that I can do the impossible on and off the field. 

Although having acquired ethical and moral principles at a very early age, I have also attained and learned other important aspects about myself through playing the sport of football and they are; leadership, perseverance, discipline, commitment, focus and teamwork. Possessing these qualities will transfer to my goals academically. I believe my continuance to work equally hard in the classroom and on the field will ultimately lead me to a suitable college that has a competitive football program.
