Playing football has changed my life, it gives me purpose and passion. I am a better student, person and friend because the game has taught me so much. I love the game and want to continue playing for as long as possible. I hope that playing football will give me an opportunity to go to a great school so that I can continue to grow and develop.
I like to think of myself as a hard worker and a great teammate on and off the field. I go to a smaller school and have been asked to play a number of positions on both sides of the ball. As a Freshman I came in as a Tight End and my coaches asked me to play Defensive End and earned a starting job on JV and lettered on Varsity. Our Varsity team just missed the NC state finals that year, but I played in every playoff game as a Freshman. My Sophomore year I played Varsity and started in multiple games at DE. As a Junior my coaches asked me to change to Right Tackle because we lost 4 OL to graduation and needed help on the line. I had to learn a completely new position and with my coaches help I was able to make the change and started every game - I loved the challenge.
Based on my size and experience I see myself playing Tight End again, but I love this game and I am willing to play wherever the coaches and team need me.
