Brenden Jackson '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brenden Sean Jackson born in Tucson Arizona. A natural born leader is what most of my coaches say about me, my grit and my outgoing personality is what  has  set me apart. I will never give up and  will always place the team first, that’s how you win games. Every decision I make, I will have the team in mind knowing it takes a true team dynamic to win. I would love to play football in a college level setting. I have been playing football for over a decade now. Being raised as a military brat I have played across the world with different kinds of people. In 2019 while attending Zama Middle High School in Japan. I am proud to say we won the division 2 championship with me as their starting freshmen varsity running back. I have articles written about me in the Stars and Stripes publication during that season.  During my very next football season my family was required to travel back stateside during the height of COVID. During this transition I ended up having to play Defensive nose tackle. Although this is  the position I do not want to play, I did my best and ended up on the starting varsity team. My team the Terry Sanford Bulldogs made it to the second round playoffs. I have played middle linebacker for as long as I have been playing running back. I can play on both sides of the ball anywhere you put me I will thrive. But my athletic goals aren't the only thing I am pursuing. I plan to major in Sports Medicine. This will provide a direct path to becoming an athletic trainer because as much as I love playing the sport I would like to teach the sport. I take my academics very seriously, because if one day my body breaks down my brain will still function and I will still have a career. I wake up with an ambition every morning to excel mentally and physically. College sports have been in my family for generations, I would  love to carry on our tradition.
