I stand out from other recruits in that I prioritize building my character over both my academic and athletic goals. While I cannot imagine not playing football in college and I am extremely focused on my grades and take all honors courses, I value my integrity and Christian walk the most. I want to help my team both on and off the field by being a blessing to my teammates and coaches. Football is a game but it is also the place where I have developed my value for teamwork, brotherhood, respect for authority, perseverance, and understanding of how disappointments can fuel my work ethic. I am not a perfect player, but I am proud that I am viewed as a supportive leader by the other players and my coaches. I am excited for playing varsity FB for the fourth year - my senior year - and serving on the coach's leadership council. We have been through a lot as a group in those years on varsity, including a heartbreaking loss in the second round of the playoffs.
The major I intend to pursue is business. I am interested in international missions work. I have travelled to Haiti to work with Samaritan's Feet in 2016 and a school mission trip to Guatemala in June 2017.
