Nicholas Reid '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nick Reid, and I am 5’11” and 175 lbs. I have been playing tackle football since third grade and have an intense passion and love for the sport! It’s what drives me to get better every day. My hard work ethic and dedication has enabled me to play in multiple starting positions on the varsity team since I was a freshman in high school.

I began my high school football career as a freshman starting quarterback. I broke 20 of 22 quarterback school records in my freshman year. In my sophomore year, I lost my starting QB position to a senior transfer. This did not stop me though. That offseason I was determined to get on the field to help my team, so I increased my training which resulted in my starting as a wide receiver and free safety. Playing these positions helped me obtain a better understanding of the game, which tremendously helped my quarterbacking skills. Since then I have started as the quarterback and free safety, and have been named captain, in my junior and senior seasons. Currently, I am especially proud to be leading our team in this my senior season with an undefeated record of 6-0. 

My dreams and goals at the collegiate level are to attend a school where I can continue to play the sport I love, and contribute at a high level to be part of a winning team. As a student, I have a 3.95 GPA, and I am currently taking honors and college courses to push myself to obtain the best education I can. I play hard on the field, and I am a determined student, pushing to educate myself and play at the highest level possible.
