Cameron Johnson '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Cameron Johnson, and I want to use football to go to college to study sports management/communications and marketing. I would love to work for a professional sports team in their head office or marketing department.

I believe that I am a team player, and love encouraging my teammates to play hard to win. I listen to what the coach wants from me and I work hard to do it. I have been told that I have a good head for the game, and that I would make a good coach someday. I try to learn everyone's positions on the team in case I'm asked to fill in, anything to get playing time.

I have been raised to be respectful of people’s feelings and situations in life. I believe my Christian upbringing is the reason for this. I have learned to be compassionate and try to help someone in trouble if I can. I always try to be truthful even when the truth hurts, but don't look to add to someone's pain.

I want to use athletics to get an education, and my parents have taught me that it all starts in the classroom. I have been an A-B honor roll student since starting school in kindergarten and also took Spanish Immersion classes starting in kindergarten thru the 5th grade. I have lost a little but can speak and read Spanish pretty well. I was an ambassador in middle school to new students enrolled that could not speak English and needed my help translating for them.
