The only reason I am who I am today is because of the two men who forever changed my life. One man was my very first football coach; he personally called my parents called my parents to ask if I could try out for the middle school football team. He also taught me that the pain and suffering from the game is tolerable because of the support of your brothers on the team. He taught me as a defensive end and as a linebacker to never be afraid to go out and sacrifice your body for the team and for the game: Mind over body. The second man who has influenced and changed my life is my father. He gave me countless advice regarding girls and life. One thing we always knew as his children was that he wanted to give us the life he never had. He sacrificed so much for me and my family so we could have a better and brighter future. He told me as a student-athlete “That if you don’t have the grades to go to college then no matter how “stellar” of an athlete you are or how many sacks you achieve you aren’t going to make your biggest dream come true”
