In college my main goal is to further my academic career, and if God has it in his plans further my athletic career. I have been playing football since I was about seven years old, and every year I have been the leading scorer on my football team. The coaches have acknowledged my athletic ability, year after year. I received the most valuable player award at the end of my time playing youth football. I combined for over 70 touchdowns in my Junior High years. This year, the coaches created an award just for me called the "Rookie of the Year" to recognize my accomplishments as a freshman. I tied with a Senior for most touchdowns scored, I had over 1000 yards in total, counting rushing, receiving, defense, kick and punt returns. I started offense and defense on Varsity for the whole season. The difference between Jr High football and H.S. Varsity was vast and I was able to adapt and learn and grow into a success.
My Sophomore year surpassed my freshman. In twelve (12) games I had forty (40) touchdowns. Thirty-two (32) rushing and seven (7) receiving. I also had sixteen (16) two point conversions. I scored a total of 272 points on 2,468 yards rushing and had 28 receptions for 366 yards. My all-purpose yards totaled 3,002 yards. I was named First Team All-State (D-5) as well as the Co-Offensive Player of the Year. I look forward to my junior year. I am currently working hard in the weight room and speed training for track.
I have been playing basketball and baseball my whole life as well. I played varsity basketball my freshman and sophomore year. I played on a travel baseball team for two years. We were the second best team in the State in 14U.
Academically, I have always been in the top tier of my class, getting all A's and B's. I take advance level classes in English and Science. My teachers and peers respect me because I do what I am asked, I show kindness and respect to others, and I am helpful.
I hope to continue to build on these foundations as I go from High School to college. I want to earn a degree while doing what I love, playing football.
