Matthew Herrlinger '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Matthew. I aspire to be the first person in my family to play collegiate sports. I would also like to gain a degree for after school because unfortunately football does not last forever. I am a good candidate for any team because I am a hard worker, I will empty the tank every single day, I am a very coachable player so if I mess up I can take getting chewed out and use it as fuel to do my job the next play. I often find myself not worried about my personal stats but I care more about how the team is doing as a whole. I am different from other recruits because I may not be the biggest or the strongest but I will be more mentally tough than anyone on the field, I will never back down from any adversity given my way, and most importantly I will never be scared of the guy across from me, I work hard in the classroom to get the grades so I can further my education.
