Thomas Glick '13 Recruiting Profile

During my Senior Season in 10 games my stats were: 139 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 6 Sacks, 1 Interception, 2 Forced Fumbles, 1 Fumble Recovery and 1 blocked PAT. I was awarded All-Ohio (2nd year in a row), 1st Team All District & 1st Team All-Conference. I was also named Academic All-Ohio. Most recently I was chosen to play in the Ohio North/South All Star Football game on April 27, 2013 at Welcome Stadium, University of Dayton. I am currently a Senior in high school and stand 6’ 2” tall and weigh 225 lbs. I am 4 year letter winner and I am a 4 year starter at the Inside Linebacker position. My Junior season, I was named Northwest Ohio Defensive Player of the Year, LB; 1st Team All -District and 1st Team All- Ohio (LB). I was also named 1st Team All-Conference as a Guard. I have been awarded all conference and all district honors as a sophomore in this position. During my high school career my team has won our conference each year and I feel that I have contributed greatly to our success. This year, besides playing in the LB position, I started at Left Offensive Tackle. What separates me from the average athlete is my work ethic; I give 100% in everything I do whether it be on the field or in the classroom. I am always putting in extra work to improve my skills and ability. I lead my team on and off the field by setting a good example and being a positive role model. I believe in the whole ‘student athlete’ concept. I feel I should not only excel on the football field but also in the classroom. I currently carry a 3.62 accumulative GPA and currently study in advanced placement (College) and honors courses. I am a member of The National Honor Society. It has always been a goal of mine to play college football. My work outs and training are pushed to the extreme so that I become bigger, stronger and faster in order to compete at the next level. I will always continue to put in the extra effort to accomplish this goal by giving it all at practice and heading to the weight room after. At linebacker, I have always had a strong ability to shut down the run. Over the years I have been developing my abilities at dropping into coverage which has led to getting interceptions and knocking down passes in coverage. I can be an all-around benefit to your team because disciplined, coachable and just have great passion for the game.
