I am committed to football. I am hardworking, coachable, determined to succeed and dedicated to being my best. I began playing football in 4th grade. March of my 6th grade year, I wanted to focus on my personal fitness and training. I joined a gym, NST Sports Performance in Canton, Ohio. Here I focused on strength training, speed, agility and footwork drills. I also started following the nutrition program for athletes to ensure my nutrition supported my sport and training.
I work hard year round by training 4-5 days a week. This includes sport practice and individual strength training, speed and agility training, and football specific drills at NST and at home. Saturday mornings are spent with one on one drills training and mobility training at T3 sports performance in Avon, Ohio. I spend numerous hours studying film in preparation for games. I strive to be a well-rounded athlete. I attend numerous camps in order to continue to gain the knowledge and reps to ensure I meet my goal of playing college football. I aspire to be the best, most hardworking player and recruit. I am a team player and leader by example. I help and encourage my teammates by staying after practice to teach them technique and am often asked to teach them how to use their hands, as my coaches frequently comment on my ability to use my hands for block shedding and defending. As my sophomore year comes to an end, I am proud to have started varsity this year and will be lettering for the second year of high school in a row.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. Last year, as a freshman, I am proud to have received my first academic letter. I strive to be inducted into the National Honor Society this year and continue to receive high grades throughout this year. I am enrolled in numerous honors classes, pushing myself to learn and be successful in the classroom. I have also volunteered with my football team at local churches and have enjoyed training younger football athletes in my community this past summer.
I want to attend college, get a college education in sports medicine or athletic training and then, hopefully, continue my education in physical therapy. I am open to playing college football at the highest level of competition possible, and want to find the best match for me as a student and athlete. I am committed to playing college football, taking the recruiting process seriously, and will continue my dedication and hard work.
