I was born in Haiti. My birthday is made up to be in 12/15/99. I do not know my actual birthday, but do know I was born somewhere near Port-au-Prince, Haiti. At the age of 3, I was sold into slavery and worked as a kitchen slave. Child slaves in Haiti are called restaveks. Fortunately for me, a missionary bought me out of slavery and took me to an orphanage where I lived for the next a couple years. While living at the orphanage, I found out that a family in Ohio in the USA wanted to adopt me! Although it took my parents 2 years of paperwork, waiting, and worrying, I eventually was able to come to my new family in the United States. I am very fortunate. Learning about and adapting to my new country was very difficult. I did not know any English or how to be a child. Also, I had never had any schooling, so catching up in academics was hard, too. This is where football came into my life. Football gives me the confidence and inspiration to excel in school, at practice, on the field, and in my life. My greatest goal is to play football at the college level. The struggles I have had to overcome in my life have created in me a strong work ethic, high morals, and a dedication to excel! I am very interested in pursuing a degree in personal training, coaching, or sports management. My dream and goal is to play at the highest level.
