What has influenced me the most in life and built my character is spending my childhood summers on my grandparents farm. Getting up early and working all day in the hot son my grandpa taught me a lot of good values. He also told a lot of great stories, including some about his high school football career.
I was interested in football very early on when I used to watched games with my dad and I new I wanted to play from the beginning. Football builds stronger bonds than any other sport or activity and I think I learned that the summer before sophomore season. I also grew the most in my sophomore season as a player. I think though after going to the final four with my volleyball team, I’m more hungry to win this football season than ever and break Mount Vernon’s 25 year playoff drought.
