Hello, my name is Louis Fiset and I am currently a Junior at St. Pius X high school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. My primary position is Guard, but I can play anywhere on the line with many years of experience at Center and Tackle. In my own words plain and simple, I love the game of football and want to achieve my life goal of playing it at the College level. I've been playing football since the age of 7, and the sport has taught me so many different lessons along the way as well as introduced me to my best friendships that have continued throughout my life.
Two things that have really separated me from other players are my work ethic as well as my coachability. My parents taught me while growing up that respect and persistence towards every aspect of life is the key to success, and that nothing comes easily when you want to be your best self. I've never quit on a team or myself, and every single time I step onto the field I feel like I have a commitment to the team and to myself to never be less than what my potential is. Since coming from Canada, I've grown up to love the outdoors and play in the most harsh conditions imaginable which has made me able to flourish even in difficult circumstances. At football banquets, coaches have consistently mentioned my leadership and the sense of camaraderie I bring to the team. Even though I'm a soft spoken person, I always try to uplift my teammates on the sidelines and always call blocking assignments on the line.
During my off-seasons, I train at the Elite Performance Academy gym in Ottawa, where some of the best strength training coaches in the country help me get stronger and have made me the work horse I am now. Balancing football, school, and working as a line cook at a BBQ restaurant has not always been easy, but it's taught me many valuable lessons in time management and teamwork.
I pride myself on being a hard worker on and off the field, with honor roll achievements in school and many years of winning Most Outstanding Lineman awards with various clubs. My academic goals for high school are to keep an above 85 average for all of my classes, and get admitted to my College of choice with academic scholarships.
I plan to consider Colleges that are a good match for me academically and where I can show my passion for football.
Thanks for your time,
Louis Fiset
