Throughout my Freshman and Sophomore seasons, I have been a part of championship winning teams. This off-season, I had to undergo shoulder surgery and sit on the sidelines through this past season. This has shown me how much of a team game football actually is. The leadership and togetherness a football team has to show, both on and off the field, is crucial for success. Sitting out my whole Junior season has made me focus on my development as an athlete on the field, through rehabilitation, and off the field, in the classroom. When I graduate high school I hope to make Honor Roll, as I have continuously done in the past, and pursue a career in sciences.
The influence of my brother playing football before me started my passion for the game. Seeing my brother go out and hit people showed me that I could do the same. Multiple different coaches, showing a great sense of enthusiasm for the game, have taught me a lot about myself. To have a sense of excitement and connection to the game you play shows that it must mean something to you. Having that feeling across a team creates a family. To learn to win I had to first learn to lose and that developed a sense of leadership in me. Helping my teammates off the field is just as important as on it. The courage, leadership, and meaning the game of football has given to my life makes me want to continue playing as long as I can. That is why I would be a great fit for your team!
