I have been blessed with the opportunity to be around the game of football since before I could walk. My dad, as both a coach and a player, allowed me to have an up close and personal connection to football. That connection has grown over the years into a passion for the game with a desire to continue playing and coaching long into the future. I was able to begin playing at a fairly young age and I have always loved strapping on the pads, hitting and getting physical.
Football is a huge part of who I am. In playing this game, strengthening my craft and continuing to play is what fuels my passion for the game. It has not always been easy, but I have learned from the successes and failures in my life and my football career. I had an unfortunate injury with a broken leg the summer between my freshman and sophomore years that prevented me from playing any football that year. It was difficult for me each game, not being on the field, but it was a privilege to be on the sidelines and be a good, supportive and positive teammate. I missed out on some of the physical and football development, but I didn't miss out on being a part of my team. I am a big "team" guy. I believe in helping others and want to see my teammates grow and excel as this benefits the whole team.
I have high academic goals for high school and plan to finish out my Senior year with excellent grades. In college, my goals include athletics, but academic success is at the top of my list! I am looking forward to the many benefits that my college opportunities, getting an education, and playing on a great team will provide.
